'He was trying to get out of the holes,' states sis of killed Con Ed worker George Dillman

Two weeks prior to he died in a Brooklyn manhole explosion, Con Edworker George Dillman utilized for a transfer to a much less dangerous occupation,his grieving family members said yesterday.
"He was attempting to get out ofthe holes," stated his weeping sister Theresa Dillman. "We thought it wastoo harmful - he was obtaining married quickly."

Dillman, 26, experienced proposed to his fiance, Alyssa Block, in June. The couple experienced established their wedding day for 1 year from today.
"Georgewas the kindest, most caring and generous guy I have recognized," Block saidoutside the couple's Hicksville, L.I., home. "George labored very hardto make certain we could have the life we always dreamed of.
"My lifestyle will never be the exact same with out him."
Dillman consulted his father, a grasp electrician, prior to placing in for a switch to a supervisor position.

"We talked store," stated Raymond Dillman, sixty nine, outside the CollegePoint, Queens, home exactly where he elevated his six kids. "He cherished it,[but] it was hazardous.
